3 Best Grilled Chicken Wings Recipes You Should Try

1. Maple and Spice Grilled Chicken Wings


Ingredients


  • Chicken wings ( no tips, sliced into two at the joint)-2 kilograms

  • Onions (chopped)-3 large

  • Garlic (minced)-2 cloves

  • Dark Maple syrup-1 cup

  • Brown sugar-½ cup

  • Teriyaki sauce-1/3 cup

  • Reduced-sodium soy sauce -1/3 cup

  • ground black pepper-1/4 teaspoon

  • Reduced sodium soy sauce-1/3 cup

  • Dash of cayenne pepper

  • Cilantro for garnishing


Preparation


  1. Mix: In a bowl, pour in your onions, garlic, soy sauce, ground black pepper, maple syrup, brown sugar, and cayenne pepper and mix.

  2. Coat: In a large sealable bag, pour in your mixture and add chicken wings. Shake to evenly coat the chicken wings and set aside.

  3. Marinate: Seal the plastic bag and leave for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. After 30 minutes take out the wings from the bag and discard excess marinade.

  4. Preheat the grill then place chicken wings on a foiled coated tray and cook for about 6 minutes per side over medium heat

  5. Allow cooking through till brown and meat easily separate from the bone.

  6. Top with cilantro and serve.



2. Spicy Peanut Grilled Chicken Wings Recipe


Ingredients:


  • Chicken wings ( tips discarded and sliced into two at the joint) - 1 ½ kilogram

  • Brown sugar-1/3 cup

  • Peanut butter-1/4 cup

  • Cider vinegar-3 tablespoons

  • Vegetable oil -3 tablespoons

  • Hot sauce-3 tablespoons

  • Water-1/4 cup

  • Soy sauce-2 tablespoons

  • Chili paste-2 teaspoons

  • Toasted sesame oil-1 teaspoon

  • Finely minced garlic-1/2 teaspoon

  • Chopped peanuts


Preparation:


Step 1: In a bowl, pour in brown sugar, peanut butter, chili paste, sesame oil, water, cider vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic. Mix together properly and set aside.

Step 2: Douse wings with vegetable oil and hot sauce.

Step 3: Preheat the grill and cook wings on medium heat until it is cooked through.

Step 4: Allow grilled chicken wings to cool for a few minutes then pour half of the peanut sauce over the wings.

Step 5: Toss chicken wings to coat evenly, then sprinkle with chopped peanut.

Step 6: Serve with the remaining peanut sauce.


3. Grilled chicken with white BBQ sauce


This recipe takes about 30 minutes to prepare. It is so easy to prepare, but yet so tasty! The tangy mayo and cider vinegar BBQ sauce is some real flavor for the chicken wings.


Ingredients

  • 4 lb. assorted chicken parts (thighs, drumsticks, wings)

  • 1 recipe White BBQ Sauce

  • Parsley leaves, for garnish


White BBQ Sauce

  • Mayonnaise -1/2 c

  • Cider vinegar -1/4 c

  • Horseradish, drained- 2 tbsp

  • Lemon juice- 1 tbsp

  • Sugar - 3/4 tsp

  • Cayenne (ground red) pepper - 1/4 tsp.


Preparation


Step 1: Heat grill on medium-low.

Step 2: Season chicken all over with 11/2 teaspoons salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.

Step 3: Grill chicken, covered, 20 minutes, turning occasionally.

While chicken grills, make White BBQ Sauce.

Step 4: Whisk together all ingredients, along with 3⁄4 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, until smooth. Makes about 1 3/4 cups.

Step 5: Place 3⁄4 cup White BBQ Sauce in a bowl. Uncover chicken; generously brush with sauce. Turn chicken pieces over. Cook, brushing and turning chicken 2 more times, 5 minutes or until chicken is cooked through (160°F).

Step 6: Garnish with parsley; serve with remaining sauce.
